Have you been struggling with Red, Splotchy Skin-ESPECIALLY in the Winter Months?

There are only a few, effective ways to treat red skin or rosacea. One of the best ways available to correct the problem is with a series of photofacial or laser treatments.  Photofacial is our treatment of choice as it will not just address the red vascular problems – but also the brown age spots as well.

Dr. Wright’s Tip

There are several ways to begin the successful treatment of rosacea. Using a daily prescription in addition to office light-based treatments can alleviate overall redness. Office treatments can  include a procedure called PhotoFacial or IPL (which stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and uses a wavelength of light to constrict vessels and slow overall blood flow in the skin, therefore reducing redness). Using our advanced IPL system, light energy is delivered through the skin, removing certain skin imperfections without disrupting the skin’s surface. IPL can also help improve visible signs of facial aging and sun damage including pigment changes, coarse texture, spider veins, facial redness, and enlarged pores. A series of five photo facial treatments are given at 3-4 week intervals.  Treatments are quick with minimal discomfort, leaving you to return to work or resume normal activities immediately following treatment.
