What is VOLLURE?
Juvéderm Facial Fillers have been well established as the leader in aesthetic treatments and Juvéderm VOLLURE is the latest addition to the Juvéderm family of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers produced using the unique VYCROSS™ technology. VOLLURE is a facial filler designed to treat everything from smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines to deep folds and contouring and to create a refreshed look, as well as gently restoring natural-looking highlights to your face. By lifting the face’s center of gravity will create a beautiful face that is natural and harmonious and can allow patients to postpone surgery.
How can Skin MD and Beyond give you the Perfect SELFIE with VOLLURE?
As a National Advisor for Facial Contouring with Injectables, Skin MD and Beyond sets the gold standard and offers a customized and detailed cosmetic solution that is personally designed for each patient. See photo gallery below.
We know that some people are more photogenic than others because of the way their facial contours reflect light through the camera lens – or nowadays the computer lens! Inspired by the results of make-up contouring (a technique made popular by celebrity make-up artists), Drs. Wright can achieve the same results when using VOLLURE in much the same way.
When interviewed by the NBC EVENING NEWS, Dr. Wright explains that;
VOLLURE is an ALL-in-One facial filler, that has the ability to contour a patient’s face so that it reflects the highlights and shadows that are best suited for their facial shape. This requires strategic small volumes of filler in various places in the face. Some of the most important places on the face to contour is the middle of the cheek, nasal folds, chin and lips. Till now that could be very expensive for my patients as they have to use and pay for different fillers for the different places in the face. But now, VOLLURE has solved that problem! I really like to work with VOLLURE as it integrates well into the facial tissues. When you touch the area you worked on, it doesn’t feel like there is anything there as it becomes a part of the face and follows the movement of the face without creating unnatural volume or frozen areas.” Fiona Wright MD
What Is the Difference between VOLLURE and other Facial Fillers?
VOLLURE, Voluma and Vobella are formulated (by Allergan) with a different type of VYCROSS cross-linking, which slows the breakdown process of the filler. For instance, Juvéderm Ultra or Ultra Plus (by Allergan) have been commonly used for many years in the US and will last seven to nine months in a patient. On average, these new fillers by Allergan last beyond a year. This special cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid (HA) also means that there is a lesser concentration of HA than other dermal fillers but producing the same effect. So you get less swelling but the same great results!
The difference between VOLLURE, Voluma and Volbella is that they have different consistencies. Vobella, the thinnest of the three, can be injected to correct fine lines and to hydrate (not volumize) areas. It’s ideal, according to Dr. Wright, for smoothing out lipstick lines.
VOLLURE has a medium consistency, whereas, Voluma is very thick. VOLLURE can be used more superficially than Voluma, in corners of the mouth, cheeks, nasolabial fold. As well as adding volume to the lip itself, VOLLURE can be used to define the lip’s contours and smooth away the fine lines, commonly called smoker’s lines, that fan out around the mouth. It’s a great multipurpose filler.
Voluma is aimed at replacing lost facial volume. As we age we start to lose volume from the face, particularly from the mid-face. Voluma is injected here to restore the soft full cheeks and high cheekbones that are associated with youth. Voluma can also be used for re-contouring facial features.
How long does VOLLURE last?
Like Voluma and Volbella, VOLLURE uses a unique Vycross technology, combining both high and low molecular weight HAs into a highly cross-linked gel. The cross-linking of these products results in a soft, but very robust and long-lasting filler. Contouring with VOLLURE to treat deep skin depressions and wrinkles will deliver smooth, long-lasting results which can last for up to 18 months.
How long before I see results?
You can expect instant results upon injection. There is minimal to no swelling with VOLLURE – so you can see the final results as you walk out of the office! It can give you an immediate, subtle lift, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile. With instant, visible removal of wrinkles and folds, you will appreciate a smooth gentle correction of age-related, midface and lower face volume loss.
Is VOLLURE the same thing as BOTOX?
No, Botox Cosmetic uses Botulin toxin to relax muscles and stop movement, therefore, we mainly use is for forehead and between the brows (glabellar) but does not replace volume. Vollure is a dermal fillers meant to replace volume loss in facial areas such as cheeks, nasal folds, and jawline.
Can people with different skin tones be treated with VOLLURE?
Yes, Vollure is excellent for all skin types. Vollure works well for anyone who wants to improve their profile and wants to make the Perfect Selfie!
Does a VOLLURE treatment hurt?
There is typically minimal discomfort during the treatment process. Vollure contains lidocaine (anesthetic) which numbs the skin. Drs. Wright have performed thousands of injectable treatments and they utilize their skilled techniques to make you as comfortable as possible. As well, at Skin MD and Beyond we will provide an anesthetic cream to the treatment area prior to the doctor performing the injections. Our patients tolerate the procedure very well.
Am I a candidate for treatment with VOLLURE?
Anyone can benefit with Vollure! Vollure is an all-around product designed for treatment of superficial and deep wrinkles, skin depressions and folds – and Drs. Wright often call it the “Universal filler” as it is durable enough to enhance facial contours, but is also soft enough to be used in the lips too! With these great new features, we know it will be a patient favorite!
Do not use this product if you have severe or multiple allergies or a history of severe allergic reactions manifesting as anaphylaxis.
