Don’t’ be Afraid to go Bold with Winter Eyeshadow Colors

Choosing colors for your skin tone and eye color can be tricky. When it comes to color choices for eyeshadow, the number one rule is to test different colors and wear what you like best.  There are, however, some general guidelines as to which colors work best for certain skin tones and eye colors.

Dr. Wright’s Tip

As a first step, you may want to try using an eyeshadow primer before applying shadow. A primer provides a smooth base that will allow easier application of the shadow and keep the shadow on longer. For the fair-toned skin, you can wear most eyeshadow colors, but keep them in the lighter shades, especially for daytime wear. For the olive-toned skin, colors in the brown family work well for a subtle look. For the dark-toned skin, try eyeshadow that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Try using a shadow with gold or silver flecks of shine. Some of our PREVIA line eye shadows that you could try are: “BIG DADDY”, “14K” and “WHITE DIAMONDS”.
