Combat Acne at Home with our Refreshing and Therapeutic Sulphur Mask

Ancient Romans were known to have bathed themselves in hot sulfur springs to rid their bodies of various ailments and skin disorders; acne included. Sulfur is one of the earliest acne treatments known to man but modern acne treatments don’t have to smell like rotten eggs! When applied topically, sulfur reduces oil production by drying out the skin as well as preventing pore blockages from forming. Though sulfur works by drying the superficial skin, it dоеѕ nоt over-dry the skin ӏіkе benzoyl peroxide.

Fiona Wright M.D.’s THERAPEUTIC REFINING CLAY MASK is a blend of natural Bentonite and Kaolin clays with 10% sulfur. This refreshing mask absorbs excess oil, treats acne breakouts, reduces inflammation, refines large pores, and revitalizes the skin.

Dr. Wright’s Tip

Sulfur has a keratolytic property which means it promotes the quick shedding of dead keratinized skin cells, and prevents the blocking of pores that cause acne-forming comedones, black heads and white heads. It also helps reduce comedones and inhibits new ones from forming. This full facial mask is not only great as a spot treatment, it can also be used anywhere on the body.

An additional therapeutic component of my Therapeutic Refining Clay Mask is that it has eucalyptus, causing a cooling effect while treating inflamed acne areas on the face or back with a fresh minty aroma. This mask is so effective that you need only apply a thin layer and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and continue your regular skincare routine as normal. Remember not to uѕe abrasive scrubs befоrе applying the mask аs іt mаy sting. This mask can be used daily for severe cases or 2-3 times a week for occasional breakouts.
