The Ancient Romans were onto something….

THERAPEUTIC REFINING MASK is one of the oldest known acne treatments. It has Sulfur as one of its ingredients – the same materials matches are composed of! The ancient Romans were not wrong when they bathed themselves in hot sulfur springs to rid their bodies of various ailments and skin disorders; acne included. Referred to the Bible as brimstone, sulfur was one of the earliest acne treatments known to man. When applied topically, sulfur causes the skin to dry and reduces skin oiliness as well as prevents pore blockages from forming.

Dr. Wright’s Therapeutic Refining Clay Mask is a blend of Bentonite and Kaolin clays with 10% sulfur. This refreshing mask absorbs excess oil, treats acne breakouts, reduces inflammation, refines large pores, and revitalizes the skin. A great component of this mask is that it has eucalyptus, causing a cooling effect while treating infected areas on the face or back with a fresh minty aroma.

Dr. Wright’s Tip

Sulfur has keratolytic properties (used to soften keratin, a major pore clogging substance in the skin) so it promotes the quick shedding of dead keratinized skin cells, which prevents the blocking of pores that cause acne-forming comedones. It also helps clears comedones and inhibits new ones from forming. Sulfur is necessary for stabilizing keratin protein and rejuvenating collagen, preventing dryness while maintaining skin elasticity.

This mask is so effective that you need only apply a thin layer and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and continue your regular skincare routine as normal. This mask can be used daily for severe cases or 2-3 times a week for occasional breakouts.
