Saint Patrick’s Day, is an annual feast day which celebrates the life of the great apostle of Ireland. It has become a day of celebration for both Catholics and non-Catholics. The first year St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in America was in 1737 in Boston, Massachusetts. The first official St. Patrick’s Day parade was held in New York City in 1766. As the saying goes, on this day “everybody is Irish! Tomorrow, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time to show your true Irish (even if you are not Irish). There are always plenty of things to do around the Dallas area to celebrate this event. There are usually several St. Patrick’s Day Parades, Irish Festivals and of course Green Beer!
