Why: The Heroes for Children 5K Run/Walk is a fundraiser held in September to recognize and promote Childhood Cancer Awareness Month within the Community. It is designed to be a “family friendly” event in which young or old can participate. The event kicks off with a 1K Family Fun Run, followed by the 5K Run/Walk. There is plenty of entertainment with prizes and awards, giveaways, bounce houses, face painting, music and more.
