Get Ready for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

As far back as I can remember on Thanksgiving Day my family and I always watched the Thanksgiving parade. Created in the 1920’s the Macy’s Day Parade was started by employees that featured animals from Central Park. Now it showcases helium balloon, floats and dozens of celebrities, bands and clown crews. Every year, more than 3 million people line the streets and another 44 million tune into NBC to watch. The spirit of that group of 1924 Macy’s employees lives on today with the participation of more than 4,000 volunteers on the famous 2-mile march through Manhattans streets. If you cannot view it, make sure to Tivo the most spectacular event on TV, I know I will.
